We Keep Fast Company

trim_motor1

BIG WHEEL is proud to announce the launch of the new Web site and e-commerce platform for TRIM – a racing inspired line of clothing and accessories for fashion-savvy motorheads who Keep Fast Company.

This project has been a dream, as we have had a fantastic collaborative experience with the founders of the brand and a huge amount of freedom in designing a site that has real thunder. From working with Steve Smith of SMITH RACING (a veteran of the high-octane battlefield since 1964… shouts out to you, sir) to the pride of authorship we’ve shared with the TRIM team (mad props to you, TRIM brothers and sisters) this has been one hell of an experience. You hear references to “building brands” in our industry all of the time – how often to you actually get to do it; I mean really do it?

Though we are extremely fired up about the branding/marketing side of this site, the e-commerce component really has the shop abuzz. Why? Because we are breaking new ground as a company by providing a turnkey solution for TRIM – and that’s not just talk. BIG WHEEL is responsible for full-site maintenance, product inventory, consumer communication and fulfillment for this new enterprise. That’s right: If you order a product from TRIM online, we provide the horsepower behind the scenes that ensures this gear arrives at your doorstep.

Bottom Line: If you are a lover of life in the fast lane, you need TRIM.

Butterfly Energy Works

With “Going Green” being such a hot topic the last couple of years, we were excited to be contacted by a company that has made it their specialty, Butterfly Energy Works.

We were happy to lend our hand to Butterfly with quite a few deliverables, including a new identity system, trade show graphics, yard signs, door hangers, print collateral, and a brand new website with a Joomla based content management system.

Pathways to Independence

I was recently introduced to the charitable organization, “Pathways to Independence,” a few months ago by the Executive Director, Craig Strohbeck. After a few casual conversations with him, I was quickly reminded that there truly are a few good eggs out there that really feel passionate about helping our community. Pathways to Independence certainly falls into this category and their work with adults with learning disabilities has been helping those that need it since 1987.

After a quick review of their previous site, it was easy to get the Big Wheel team on board with lending our hand to Pathways to Independence to freshen up their web presence. The newly launched site is simple to navigate, features a WordPress content management system allowing Pathways to manage content easily, a prominent Donate / Support Us section, and an Upcoming Events section to keep the public up to speed on new activities.

Discover a New You

Now there’s even less of an excuse to miss an appointment with your personal trainer – as your personal trainer can meet you 24/7 inside your television or portable media device.

St. Louis based NUYU has recently completed a revolutionary new web site/application which allows end-users to browse, preview, assemble and download customized, video-assisted workouts. Drawing from a collection of hundreds of different exercise videos hosted by a diverse group of professional trainers, casual enthusiasts to earnest athletes can create workouts tailor-fit to their individual needs, time constraints, equipment, etc. The completed workouts can then be ripped to DVD for use at home, or downloaded to popular mobile devices like the iPod or other MP4 players and taken on the road or to the gym.

Big Wheel was responsible for creation of the brand and identity, web site, and user interface for the new business. We also played a significant role in the development of the go-to-market strategy, as well as an ongoing role in the continued updates and improvements to the product.

So, no more excuses: Get off the couch and discover a new you today.

You Can Update It Yourself

lyphotography

For the past couple of months, we have been working with Lynn Terry Photography to create a new identity system and website.

The new site features the ability to add new images, portfolio categories, and news without knowing a lick of programming, making it easier to keep the site updated and fresh.

This should prove to be a great tool since one of the biggest questions we are asked is, “Can I update it myself?” For this website, the answer is simply YES! YES! YES! Check it out.

How Strong is Your Identity

A strong identity can make or break you. Without it, a good business can look subpar. With it, it can lead to great things, shape human perception, and add credibility to your organization before anyone even does research about what you are truly all about.

Creating strong identities is one thing we particularly enjoy, as often times, these initial decisions help shape the future successes of things to come. Above is a sampling of some of the identities we have been fortunate to work on. Enjoy!

The Devil Wears Resale

It has been stated by many a consumer psychologist that when times are tough, the one thing that people don’t want to give up is their image. However, when money is tight, the ability to splurge on those $600 Manolo Blahniks or that “to die for” Gucci purse comes into serious question.

Enter Hollywhirl: http://www.hollywhirl.com, the brainchild of a highly successful woman entrepreneur who had built a powerhouse of high-end fashion resale in the brick and mortar world, but recognized the potential of an online marketplace for web-savvy shoppers to access couture pieces at bargain pricing.

Big Wheel was commissioned to build this virtual boutique from the ground up: The name, the logo/persona, and the ecommerce platform that has allowed this business to flourish. While we were at it, we also built a small photo studio for the client, as well as provided training in the use and customization of the site and commerce engine.

Now hailed as one of the best sites on the net for those with champagne appetites and sparkling wine pocketbooks, Hollywhirl is proof positive that you can have your cake and eat it too.

Contrary to Popular Opinion, You Can Put a Price On Peace of Mind

myvaulthome2

Unbeknownst to many of our clients, Big Wheel does more than put together Web sites for Marketing/Communications – much more, in fact.

Last year, we were commissioned to begin development on a Web application aimed at providing property owners & leasers a way to protect their physical assets against the threats of natural disaster, fire, theft, etc…

The challenge inherent in this task was to build a piece of software that provides flexibility, scalability and simplicity of use: all while housing it in a contemporary interface that would appeal to “2.0” users, who will no doubt be it largest base of customers.

Introducing MyVault: A revolutionary system that allows you to record, upload and store information and images of possessions and documentation in a “cloud” environment, eliminating the potential of you losing that critical data at thetime when you need it most.
